About Us

Our Whole School Priorities 2017-18

Below are our priorities for this current school year. These are the key drivers for moving us forward.

Effectiveness of Leadership and Management

Further embed the culture of distributed Leadership and Management at all levels, through staff led sharply focused school improvement projects.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment

  1. Ensure that all teachers and support staff plan lessons in all subjects to develop pupil skills in extended writing.

  2. Encourage outstanding progression and engagement in learning by providing high quality arts and cultural experiences.

Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare

  1. To continue to improve pupil attendance.

  2. To continue to develop character education by:

    • promoting pupil resilience

    • promoting emotional wellbeing

    • improving self-esteem and confidence

Outcomes for Pupils

Continue to improve functional literacy and numeracy so that pupils make consistently strong progress from their individual starting points, and have a greater understanding of their own learning journey.

We are confident that we have moved forward in our journey of school improvement, and we judge ourselves as Good’ in all areas.
